Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

People with symptoms of generalised anxiety often find themselves worrying for a significant portion of their day and describe feeling ‘on edge’. We call it ‘generalised’ as the worry can be about a number of different things and can change day to day. You can have the feeling that something bad could happen, or your mind often has ‘What if…?’ thoughts.

Signs you may be experiencing symptoms of GAD include:

  • Anxiety and worry about a number of events or activities

  • Feeling restless or on edge

  • Difficulty concentrating and mind going blank

  • Irritability

  • Sleep disturbances

There is no worry too big or too small to seek support. Whether it’s that niggling thought always in the back of your mind or the bigger concerns that have you avoiding important things in life, we can assist with a range of techniques and therapies tailored to your goals.
